Santa on the Hill returns to Otis Park for three nights of Christmas magic

BEDFORD — One of Bedford’s most cherished holiday traditions is set to return next month as Santa and Mrs. Claus once again take up residence at Otis Park for the Bedford Parks Department’s annual Santa House festivities. The event will run December 11–13 from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. each night, with admission set at $2 per person.

Located at 1621 Tunnelton Road, the Santa House welcomes families to experience “Santa on the Hill,” a uniquely Bedford Christmas experience that transforms Otis Park into a glowing holiday landscape. Visitors begin their evening with a sleigh ride to the top of the hill while Christmas music plays and inflatable decorations and festive lights line the path upward.

At the top, families gather around a warm fire as Mrs. Claus reads a Christmas story, setting the tone for the rest of the evening. Then, just as the story ends, the familiar sound of bells signals Santa’s arrival. Children are invited to sit with Santa and share their Christmas wishes, with elves on hand to help and take photos using each family’s phone or camera.

While waiting for their sleigh ride, guests can enjoy refreshments, color holiday-themed pages, or watch a Christmas movie at the Red Brick.

The event remains one of the city’s most popular family traditions, offering an affordable and memorable way for children to experience the magic of the season.
