BEDFORD — For families in Lawrence County, the difference between going to bed hungry and having a full pantry often comes down to the generosity of neighbors. That need is front and center again this year as WQRK Classic Hits 105.5, WBIW 1340 AM, and LiteFM 102.5 host their annual “Stuff A Bus for L.I.F.E.” food drive on Saturday, Nov. 22.

Residents are encouraged to bring nonperishable items from home, with a reminder to check expiration dates before donating. Requested goods include items like canned meats, flour/sugar, macaroni n’ cheese, coffee/tea, canned fruit, small dish detergent, and toilet paper. Even one bag of groceries, organizers say, can make a tangible difference for a family facing a hard season. If you don’t have time to shop or go through your pantry, cash donations are also welcome.
For more than 30 years, WQRK Classic Hits 105.5, WBIW 1340 AM, and LiteFM 102.5 have hosted the annual effort — a tradition that station leaders say has become one of the most meaningful ways the community comes together each year.
As in years past, Rogers Group Inc. is partnering with the stations this year again to elevate awareness and support the pantry’s mission.
L.I.F.E., a nonprofit organization providing emergency food assistance throughout Lawrence County, relies heavily on community drives to stabilize its supplies during the holidays, when requests for help often increase.
