INDIANA – If the Indiana University (IU) football team continues its winning streak, December 6, 2025, is shaping up to be an epic day for Hoosier fans.

The date is already set for a significant event; the IU men’s basketball team is scheduled to face the University of Louisville at Gainbridge Fieldhouse with a 2 p.m. EDT tip-off.
That same evening, the Big Ten Football Championship Game will kick off at Lucas Oil Stadium at 8 p.m. EDT.
Currently, the undefeated IU football team, ranked 3rd —the highest-ever ranking in the AP Poll —meaning a ticket to the title game that night is within its grasp.

As of October 12, the team is 6-0 and ranked just behind Ohio State and Miami (FL) in the poll. This historic ranking was achieved after the Hoosiers defeated the Oregon Ducks 30-20
Should the football team qualify, Indianapolis will host two major IU contests on the same day, turning the Circle City into a Hoosier pride powerhouse.
