BEDFORD — A new support network for mothers in Lawrence County is launching this fall with the kickoff of the Lawrence County Moms Group, a breastfeeding support group sponsored by IU Health Bedford Hospital.
The kickoff event will take place Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Bedford Public Library Meeting Room, 1323 K St., Bedford.
Organizers say the group will provide a space for connection, support, and community among breastfeeding mothers in the county. The kickoff program will feature a guest speaker on the topic of baby-wearing wraps. Snacks and swag bags will be provided to attendees, and the first 10 participants to complete a short survey will receive a gift card.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for moms in our community to come together, share experiences, and support one another,” said organizers from IU Health.
The event is free and open to new and expecting mothers in Lawrence County.
