BLOOMINGTON – The Bloomington Parks and Recreation Department is inviting the public to a hands-on workshop to help develop its five-year master plan. The interactive, family-friendly event is designed to gather community input on the city’s parks and recreational offerings.

The workshop will be held on Tuesday, October 7, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Switchyard Park Pavilion, located at 1601 South Rogers Street.
The event is open to all members of the community, and no RSVP is required. Residents are encouraged to “show up, drop in, and share your ideas” to ensure the city’s parks and recreation services reflect the needs and values of those who live, work, and play in Bloomington.
The input gathered will be used to guide future decisions on programs, facilities, and services. For more information about the department or the master plan, residents can contact the department at 812-349-3700.
