According to a letter from Woolpert, Inc., an architectural and engineering firm, the BOAC formally agreed with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to obtain the funding. The project, which includes paving and marking, is part of a larger federal initiative aimed at improving airport infrastructure.

The project funding is structured as a grant, with the FAA covering 90% of the total cost. The breakdown is as follows:

  • FAA: $2,915,968
  • INDOT: $161,998
  • Local Contribution: $161,999

The required local contribution amounts to 5% of the total construction cost, a portion that the BOAC is obligated to provide under the terms of the agreement.
