TRAFALGAR — Purdue Extension’s Women in Agriculture team will host a Field-Ready Meals for Farm Families workshop on Saturday, Sept. 20, aimed at helping participants prepare portable, balanced meals for farm workers during the busy harvest season.
The program will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Bradley Farm Enterprises, 5769 W. 425 S., Trafalgar. Registration is $20 per person, and lunch will be provided.

Organizers said the workshop will equip attendees with practical tools, recipes, and organizational strategies for creating nutritious meals that can be easily packed and eaten in the field. Topics include the science of field meals, meal prep systems and packing tips, recipes from the farm, and a hands-on “make and take” activity. Participants will also receive access to an array of additional resources.
Registration is required in advance and can be completed online at https://bit.ly/Field-Ready. The registration deadline is Sept. 12 for those needing special dietary accommodations, interpreter services, or other assistance.
