BLOOMINGTON — Young entrepreneurs will take center stage when Bloomington’s popular Food Truck Friday introduces a special Youth Day on Friday, September 12 at Switchyard Park Pavilion.
Organized by the City of Bloomington Parks and Recreation, the event invites youth ages 6 to 17 to sell their art, produce, crafts, or other handmade goods alongside the city’s well-loved food trucks. Officials say the day is designed to celebrate creativity, encourage entrepreneurship, and give local youth the chance to experience the excitement of running their own booth.

Participants will set up 10-by-10 booth spaces inside the Pavilion, with bay doors open to maintain the lively Food Truck Friday atmosphere. Visitors will be able to browse youth vendors without missing any of the food trucks or the Happy Hours Concert happening just outside.
Youth vendors will keep 100% of their profits, making it a valuable opportunity to showcase talent, share creativity, and practice business skills in a real-world setting.
For details or to register, contact Tara Brooke at 812-349-3773 or tara.brooke@bloomington.in.gov. Registration is available exclusively through Bloomington Parks and Recreation online.
Organizers also announced that another Youth Day will be held at the Bloomington Community Farmers’ Market on September 27, giving young vendors two opportunities this fall to shine.
