SEYMOUR — The City of Seymour’s Water Pollution Control Facility is accepting applications for a full-time Stormwater Utility & Relief position.
The 40-hour-per-week role, with opportunities for overtime, involves work in heavy equipment operations, concrete preparation and pouring, pipe laying and backfilling, soil and stone classification, excavation, trenching and shoring, as well as general maintenance and job site safety. Applicants should be able to follow a work order program, read prints, and demonstrate self-motivation. On-the-job training will be provided.

Employees must obtain and maintain a State of Indiana Class A Commercial Driver’s License with air brakes and tanker endorsement within 180 days of hire. Additional certifications, including confined space entry, excavation and trenching, and heavy equipment operation, must be completed within the first year. The position also requires cross-training in collection systems and facility operations.
Applicants must pass a state Department of Transportation physical exam and drug screening, hold a valid and insurable driver’s license, and demonstrate a commitment to safety.
