BEDFORD — North Lawrence Community Schools, in partnership with the Lawrence County Probation Department, will offer two free training sessions this fall to help parents and caregivers support their children’s success in school.
The sessions, titled Preparing Our Kids for Success, will be held Sept. 11 at Lincoln Elementary School and Sept. 22 at Parkview Primary School, both from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Organizers said both events will feature the same training, giving families two opportunities to attend.

The program is open to parents and caregivers of all NLCS students and will cover strategies for improving school performance, building stronger communication between home and school, and creating structure for children. Topics also include using homework management tools, recognizing the signs of trauma, and fostering dreams and goals for students.
“These sessions give families practical tools they can use to help children thrive both at home and in the classroom,” organizers said.
Registration is required. Parents and caregivers can sign up by visiting https://bit.ly/LCParentproject.
