BLOOMFIELD — Purdue Extension Greene County will host a free educational program on pond management on August 27 at the Greene County Event Center in Bloomfield.
The event, scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m., will provide information on pond management, fish stocking and management, and identifying and controlling pond weeds. Participants are encouraged to bring a sample of pond weeds for identification.

Sean Huss, Purdue Extension educator for Greene County, said the program is designed to help landowners and pond enthusiasts improve the health and sustainability of their ponds.
The event is open to the public at no cost. Registration is encouraged by contacting Huss at 812-659-2122 or huss94@purdue.edu.
The Greene County Event Center is located at 4503 W. State Road 54 in Bloomfield.
