BLOOMINGTON — The Bloomington Police Department will host its National Night Out community event on Tuesday, August 5, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Switchyard Park Picnic Shelter.
The free event is an opportunity for the community to interact with members of the local police, fire, and EMS services through interactive displays, games, music, and food, which will be available while supplies last.
Additionally, the Bloomington HAND department will have its new Front Porch Community Events trailer on-site for residents to explore and sign up to use.
According to the department, National Night Out is an annual initiative to foster a strong relationship between first responders and the community they serve.
