LOOGOOTEE — The “Dementia Friendly Martin County Kick-off” event is scheduled for Tuesday, August 26, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Martin County 4-H Fairgrounds Event Center, located at 2666 Hwy 50.
The event is designed to help the community learn about local resources, hear from expert speakers, and connect with others in the aging community. The kick-off will feature speakers from the Alzheimer’s Association, Dementia Friendly Indiana, and Dementia Friendly Martin County.
The keynote speaker for the event will be Dr. Natali Edmonds, a board-certified geropsychologist and the founder of Dementia Careblazers. She is also the host of Careblazers TV, which is described as the number one dementia training channel on YouTube. Edmonds provides caregivers with accessible, reliable guidance through her online platform, Dementia Careblazers.
