Lawrence County Independent Schools to join Limestone Heritage Festival Parade

BEDFORD—Lawrence County Independent Schools (LCIS) is inviting students and families to represent the district during the 2025 Limestone Heritage Festival Parade, which will take place Saturday, June 28, at 5:30 p.m. in downtown Bedford.

Students are encouraged to wear their favorite LCIS gear and take part in the celebration, which honors the county’s rich history in limestone quarrying and craftsmanship. Participants will ride on a decorated school bus and help showcase school spirit to the wider community.

The school is asking interested families to sign up using a designated form to ensure participation in the lineup.

Organizers say the event is a great opportunity for students to get involved in community traditions and show pride in their school.

The Limestone Heritage Festival is an annual highlight in Bedford. It features a parade, vendors, music, and a celebration of local culture and history.
