Bedford Noon Lions honor area law enforcement at Annual Officer of the Year Awards

BEDFORD— The Bedford Noon Lions Club celebrated outstanding service and commitment to public safety during its annual Officer of the Year Awards ceremony, held April 16.

Officers from four local and regional law enforcement agencies—the Bedford Police Department, Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department, Indiana Department of Natural Resources, and the Indiana State Police Bloomington Post—were honored for their professionalism, integrity, and dedication to the communities they serve.

Each recipient was selected by their respective department and recognized for going above and beyond the call of duty throughout the past year.

The ceremony, a longstanding tradition for the Bedford Noon Lions Club, underscores the vital role law enforcement plays in ensuring public safety and community well-being.

Those recognized were:

Conservation Officer Claire Jenkins with DNR

Trooper Jesse Crane with the Indiana State Police, Bloomington District

Officer Landon Jones with the Bedford Police Department

Deputy Corey Housel with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department
