BLOOMINGTON–The City’s two outdoor pools, Bryan Park Pool at 1020 S. Woodlawn Ave. and Mills Pool at 1100 West 14th Street, open for the 2025 season at 11 a.m. on May 24. Pool hours of operation are 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. daily.
The Community Foundation Switchyard Plaza Spray Pad at Switchyard Park, 1601 South Rogers Street, opens May 24 at 10 a.m. Spray pad hours are 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. daily, with no admission fee.

Bryan Park Pool and Mills Pool are open daily, weather permitting, from May 24 through Aug. 3. Admission is $7 per person.
Bryan Park Pool is open weekends only beginning Aug. 9, and closes for the season at 7 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 1.
Parks and Recreation is partnering with the City’s Economic and Sustainable Development Department to host “Stay Cool Bloomington Days,” with no admission fee on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays this summer when the projected AccuWeather Real Feel forecast is 90° or higher at 2 p.m. in Bloomington.

Additionally, Parks and Recreation is hosting Open Swim Day, with admission to both Bryan Park Pool and Mills Pool free of charge, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, July 4.

Season passes, good for unlimited admissions for a single individual to Bryan Park Pool and Mills Pool during the 2025 season, are $90 each and are available for purchase at Bryan Park Pool. Economy 20-Punch Passes, for a total of 20 admissions for anyone to either pool, are $100 each and are available for purchase at Bryan Park Pool and Mills Pool.

Bryan Park Pool hosts two three-week sessions of swim lessons this summer. All sessions include levels from Guardian and Toddler (for young children who need constant support in the water) through Level 4 (for children ages 6-14 years). The first session begins June 10, with a registration deadline of June 4. Swim lesson fees are $65 per person; scholarships are available for swim lessons from the Bloomington Parks Foundation. Other summer recreation opportunities are available at the Frank Southern Center, 2100 S. Henderson Street. There is no ice during the summer, but the concrete pad is only open for drop-in roller skating during scheduled times. Admission to drop-in skating is $10 per person. Skate rental is unavailable; bring your own skates, rollerblades, scooters, skateboards, or wheeled chairs; please do not use motorized devices.
