Orleans Public Library to host Dr. Seuss scavenger hunt

ORLEANS — The Orleans Public Library will host a special library scavenger hunt on Wednesday, June 25, inviting participants to follow illustrations to locate the image of the beloved children’s author, Dr. Seuss, within the library.

The event, part of the library’s weekly Summer Reading Program, will run from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the library, located at 174 N Maple St in Orleans. It is a drop-in event, allowing attendees to participate at their convenience throughout the day.

Participants who successfully complete the scavenger hunt will receive an extra entry for prize drawings. The scavenger hunt may also include occasional clues for an added challenge in finding the Dr. Seuss illustrations.

The prize drawings will take place at the End of Summer Reading Program Party, scheduled for Thursday, July 11, at 1:30 PM. Individuals must be present at the party to be eligible to win prizes.

The “Color Our World” themed scavenger hunt is an initiative of the Orleans Public Library to engage the community during their summer reading program.
