Orange County 4-H announces junior leader opportunities

PAOLI – The Orange County 4-H program, in conjunction with Purdue University Extension, is seeking youth in grades 6-12 to join its Junior Leader organization.

The 4-H Junior Leaders engage in various activities throughout the year, including community service projects, leadership development, and providing input on the county 4-H program. The organization also offers socialization opportunities with peers within and outside Orange County.

A recent update to the program now includes 6th graders as eligible members. Meetings are typically held on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:00 PM at the Orange County Fairgrounds Block Building.

The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, May 13th, at 6:00 PM at the 4-H Block Building, located at 1079 N County Road 125 W in Paoli. The agenda includes team-building activities, discussion, preparation for the upcoming fair’s food booth, and brainstorming ideas for the annual competition trip.

Purdue University is an equal opportunity institution, and individuals requiring accommodations to attend the program are encouraged to contact the Extension office at 812-723-7107 or via email at vportill@purdue.edu before the meeting.
