BLOOMINGTON – Constellation Stage & Screen last night announced its exciting lineup for the 2025/26 theatrical season, promising a captivating array of productions ranging from Tony Award-winning musicals to gripping mysteries, world premieres, and family-friendly entertainment. The season features eight productions, offering a diverse selection for theatergoers of all tastes.

The season will kick off with the powerful rock musical Next to Normal, winner of the Tony Award for Best Musical and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama. With music by Tom Kitt and book and lyrics by Brian Yorkey, this groundbreaking work explores themes of mental health, family dynamics, and resilience, set to a compelling rock score. Next to Normal will run from September 4th to 21st, 2025, at the Waldron Auditorium.

Celebrating the 75th anniversary of the beloved Peanuts comic strip, Constellation for Kids will present You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown. This timeless classic will bring iconic characters to life in an hour of joy and humor, running from November 1 to 16, 2025, at the Waldron Auditorium.

This holiday season marks a return of Constellation’s annual holiday programming to the Waldron Arts Center with A Christmas Story: The Musical. Based on the cherished film and featuring music and lyrics from the award-winning team behind Dear Evan Hansen, La La Land, and The Greatest Showman, this heartwarming Broadway musical follows Ralphie Parker’s quest for the ultimate Christmas gift. A Christmas Story: The Musical will enchant audiences of all ages from December 11th, 2025, to January 4th, 2026, at the Waldron Auditorium.

Adding to the holiday offerings, Constellation will present a special engagement for adult audiences: An Act of God. This wickedly funny comedy, penned by the 13-time Emmy-winning head writer for The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, features God delivering a brand-new set of commandments for the modern world. An Act of God will run from December 18th to 30th, 2025, at the Waldron Firebay. While not part of the regular season ticket package, pass holders will receive early access to tickets for this special event.

Winter will take a mysterious turn with Séance: The Board Awakens, an original immersive theatrical experience created by and starring Rob Zabrecky, a two-time Stage Magician of the Year and resident séance specialist for the Magic Castle. This spine-chilling production will invite audiences to participate in a magic-filled séance and uncover the secrets of the Ouija board, running from January 29th to February 15th, 2026, at the Waldron Auditorium.

The mystery continues with the Indiana premiere of The Da Vinci Code, adapted by Rachel Wagstaff and Duncan Abel from Dan Brown’s bestselling novel. When the curator of the Louvre is found murdered under mysterious circumstances, symbologist Robert Langdon and cryptologist Sophie Neveu find themselves embroiled in a deadly conspiracy filled with suspense, intrigue, and mind-bending puzzles. The Da Vinci Code will play from March 26th to April 12th, 2026, at the Waldron Auditorium.

This spring will see the launch of a new, immersive theater experience for young audiences: The PB&J Cafe: A Dinner Theater for Kids! At the PB&J Cafe, young theatergoers will enjoy a meal during the performance and receive autographs from their favorite characters. The inaugural experience will be themed around Finn, a heartwarming new musical about a young shark on the brink of growing up, from the Emmy-winning creators of Doc McStuffins and Vampirina. Finn at the PB&J Cafe will run from May 1st to 17th, 2026, at the Waldron Auditorium.

Closing out the Mainstage season is Another Revolution by Jacqueline Bircher, the playwright behind Constellation’s 2023 hit Webster’s B!+@#. This gripping new drama follows two brilliant grad students at Columbia University in 1968, caught at the intersection of science and social upheaval. Another Revolution will run from June 4th to 21st, 2026, at the Constellation Playhouse, offering a thought-provoking and timely story.
Constellation remains committed to accessibility, announcing the return of its celebrated Pay What You Will Thursdays for all Mainstage shows, including the first Thursday performance of A Christmas Story. Additionally, the Community Access Tickets program will continue to ensure that professional live theater is affordable for everyone in South Central Indiana, thanks to the generous sponsorship of Jessika and Bryan Hane.
For families with children with autism or other sensory sensitivities, Constellation will offer two Sensory-Friendly performances as part of its Constellation for Kids series, on the final Sunday of You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown and Finn: A New Musical. Tickets for these performances will be Pay What You Will.
