SOUTHERN INDIANA – Fans of Indiana’s state-endangered barn owls have a chance to enhance their viewing experience by supporting an upgrade to the beloved live barn owl nest webcam. Located in southern Indiana, the webcam offers a unique and intimate glimpse into the lives of these fascinating birds, fostering a greater connection with nature.

However, the current camera has significantly deteriorated over time, resulting in a cloudy and pixelated view for online observers. To address this issue, a much-needed upgrade is planned, funded through a combination of federal grants and donations to the Indiana Nongame Wildlife Fund.
The public is invited to contribute to this important project by donating to the fund. Every dollar, no matter the size, will help bring a clearer, more vibrant view of the barn owl family to countless Hoosiers.
In the interim, viewers can still catch a glimpse of the female barn owl and her eggs on the existing (though somewhat blurry) feed available here. This upgrade will ensure that future generations can continue to witness the wonders of these state-endangered birds in their natural habitat.
To be a part of this vital upgrade and support Indiana’s wildlife, please consider donating to the Indiana Nongame Wildlife Fund.
