ORLEANS — Two crowd-favorite bands will take center stage at the 55th annual Orleans Dogwood Festival Parade on April 26, promising a vibrant and entertaining celebration for attendees.
The Orleans Bulldog Regiment (OBR), an eight-time ISSMA State Finalist, will proudly march down historic Maple Street once again under Terry Burton’s direction. Known for their high-energy performances, OBR has a storied history, including a 1998 performance of the Star-Spangled Banner at a Chicago White Sox game, a 2008 appearance at Walt Disney World, and numerous showings at the Kentucky Derby’s Pegasus Parade. Most recently, the band brought its spirited sound to the 2025 IHSAA Indiana State Finals basketball game this March.

Joining the lineup is the Circle City Sidewalk Stompers Clown Band from Indianapolis. Known for their whimsical costumes and lively musical acts, the clown band will perform a brief pre-parade show on the Main Stage at 1 p.m. before joining the parade at 2 p.m. Their appearance marks another highlight for the festival, adding a mix of humor and musical flair. The troupe brings with them a 26½-foot promotional van, two bubble machines producing over 6,000 bubbles per minute, and a full light and music package.

The parade will begin at 2 p.m., traveling down Maple Street (SR 37 S.) and through downtown Orleans. Festival organizers expect a strong turnout and encourage visitors to arrive early for the pre-parade festivities. Entry forms and additional information can be found at www.orleansdogwoodfestival.com or by contacting the Orleans Town Office.
