2026 Orleans Chamber ornament celebrates historic Lindsey-Hall House

ORLEANS — The Orleans Chamber of Commerce has officially unveiled the design for its 2026 Christmas ornament, marking the 26th entry in an ongoing series commemorating historic local landmarks.

According to Chamber Executive Director Robert F. Henderson, this year’s collectible keepsake features the historic 1912 Lindsey-Hall House decorated in its holiday finery.

Located at 165 North Lincoln Street, the Lindsey-Hall House was originally built by James Lindsey to serve as overflow accommodations for his nearby hotel, the Lindsey-Magner (now occupied by Feminine Mystique). Designed by architect Ralph M. Chatham, the home was sold by Lindsey in 1918.

In 1947, Karl and Ruth Hall purchased the property as a family home. It was later owned by their daughter, Janie Hall, until her passing in 2021. Today, the house remains a private residence owned by Janie’s daughter, Shawn Baker.

The 2026 ornaments are scheduled to go on sale locally starting Friday, November 6. As with previous releases, only a limited quantity will be produced, and organizers expect them to sell out quickly.

“The ornaments have proven to be very collectible in the last several years, and past issues are eagerly sought out by Orleans citizens past and present,” Henderson said.

  • Price: $15 each
  • Locations: Available while supplies last at Beacon Credit Union and the Orleans Town Offices.
  • Past Issues: A limited number of previous issues—including the 2025 ornament celebrating the Orleans High School Bulldogs State Championship and the Historic Monon Mural—remain available for purchase.

All proceeds from the annual ornament sale directly benefit the Chamber’s ongoing community improvement projects throughout Orleans, including seasonal street banners, flower plantings, and holiday decorations.
