LOOGOOTEE — Area seniors and Medicare beneficiaries seeking guidance through annual health plan choices will have an opportunity for free, personalized support next month.

The State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP), in partnership with the Loogootee Senior Center, is hosting a day of free, one-on-one Medicare counseling sessions on Friday, November 13, at the Loogootee Public Library.
The event coincides with Medicare’s annual open enrollment period, which runs through December 7, allowing beneficiaries to review, change, or drop their Medicare Advantage plans and prescription drug coverage for the upcoming year. Certified SHIP counselors will be on hand to help local residents compare plans, evaluate costs, and ensure their coverage meets their individual healthcare needs.
