BEDFORD — The Lawrence County Highway Department will temporarily close sections of Leatherwood Road on Tuesday, October 27, and Wednesday, October 28, 2026, to conduct necessary culvert replacement work.
According to Lawrence County Highway Department Superintendent Brian D. Sowder, work is scheduled to begin at approximately 8:00 a.m. each morning. Crews expect to complete the replacements and reopen the roadway to traffic each afternoon.
Motorists and local residents traveling through the area during those dates should plan for potential delays and seek alternate routes while crews are on site.
