BLOOMINGTON — The American Red Cross is inviting Indiana University students, faculty, and local residents to roll up their sleeves and donate blood at Memorial Stadium on Oct. 15 as part of a conference-wide initiative to support regional blood supplies.

The campaign coincides with the Big Ten/Abbott “We Give Blood Challenge,” a friendly competition among Big Ten Conference universities aimed at boosting donations across the region. Each donation made during the drive earns points for Indiana University while helping rebuild critical blood reserves for hospital patients.
As a incentive for donors, presenting participants will have the opportunity to take a photo with the College Football National Championship Trophy on site during the event.
“Every donor can make a difference for patients who depend on blood products every day,” representatives for the campaign said, emphasizing the ongoing demand for local blood collection.
Organizers are asking local community groups, businesses, and university affiliates to share registration details through newsletters, social media, and internal communications to maximize turnout.
Event Details:
- Date: Wednesday, Oct. 15
