ChamberCare expands health plan access to Indiana employers with 51 to 100 employees

INDIANA — More mid-size Indiana businesses will soon have a new option for managing rising healthcare costs. The Indiana Chamber of Commerce and Indy Chamber today announced the expansion of their ChamberCare health plan to serve employers with 51 to 100 enrolled employees. The offering is available for quoting, with benefit plans effective January 1, 2027.

Through its multiple employer welfare arrangement (MEWA), ChamberCare 51-100 offers employers a self-funded alternative to traditional fully insured health plans. The program provides reporting designed to help employers understand plan performance and healthcare costs. For employees, it offers access to a broad provider network, while an Indiana-based team supports employers, brokers, and members.

The expansion marks a significant step for the ChamberCare MEWA, which was launched seven years ago by the Indiana Chamber and Indy Chamber for employers with two to 50 enrolled employees.

Vanessa Green Sinders, president and CEO of the Indiana Chamber

“As ChamberCare has grown, so have many of the Indiana employers that rely on it,” says Vanessa Green Sinders, president and CEO of the Indiana Chamber. “We wanted to open the program to more businesses while ensuring current participants don’t have to leave ChamberCare simply because their workforce grows beyond 50 enrolled employees. This expansion gives employers greater continuity and access to a Hoosier-built health plan designed around their needs.”

Members gain broad provider access across Indiana, plus national coverage through First Health for those who live or travel outside the state. Members also have access to Healthee, a modern, AI-powered benefits tool that offers 24/7 virtual care at no additional cost, along with cost comparisons, plan information, digital ID cards, and easy provider searches.

Additionally, ChamberCare includes resources to help manage medical and pharmacy spending, including WellBridge Surgical, ImpaxRx, specialty copay assistance, and Quantify Health.

Matt Mindrum, president and CEO of the Indy Chamber

“Employers with 51 to 100 enrolled employees need more health plan choices as they compete for talent and manage costs,” adds Matt Mindrum, president and CEO of the Indy Chamber.

“Expanding ChamberCare gives them another option in a market where flexibility can be limited – backed by experienced healthcare, underwriting, pharmacy and administrative partners.”

SIHO Insurance Services, headquartered in Columbus, Indiana, serves as the lead ChamberCare plan provider. The offering is also supported by CVS Caremark for pharmacy benefits and Delta Dental for dental and vision coverage.

More than 40 local chambers across the state are partnering with the Indiana Chamber and Indy Chamber to promote ChamberCare to their members. ChamberCare is available exclusively to qualifying members of the Indiana Chamber, Indy Chamber, and participating local chambers.
