BEDFORD — The Housing Authority of the City of Bedford has announced that its Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list will officially close effective Friday, Oct. 9, 2026.
Beginning on that date, new applications for Section 8 vouchers will no longer be accepted until the waiting list formally reopens.
Housing authority officials also noted that the Public Housing waiting list will remain closed until further notice.
A public notice will be issued to notify the community when either waiting list reopens to new applicants in the future.
