HELTONVILLE — Get ready to turn up the music and make some memories.
Chapel Hill Recording Studio is presenting the Family Reunion Music Gala Oct. 23-24, bringing two days of country, gospel, Americana, and roots music to Chapel Hill Recording Studio at 7748 Bartlettsville Road in Heltonville.
And this isn’t your average weekend concert.
The Family Reunion Music Gala is designed to feel exactly like its name suggests: a big musical family reunion, with legendary performers, special guests, and music fans coming together for a weekend of live entertainment.
The weekend features a lineup that should have something for just about every music lover.
Among the featured artists is John McEuen, a co-founder of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and a legendary figure in roots and country music. Also taking the stage will be Cody McCarver, a CMT songwriter and outlaw gospel artist, and Marla Jo Ham.

Friday night gets the music started with the gates opening at 3 p.m. Mt. Liberty Way kicks things off at 4 p.m., followed by special guest Marla Jo Ham at 4:45 p.m. Ham returns to the stage at 5:30 p.m., before John McEuen takes over at 6:30 p.m.
Then comes Saturday, and Chapel Hill Recording Studio is bringing another full afternoon and evening of live music.
Gates on Saturday open at 2 p.m., with Madison St. Mission opening the afternoon at 2:30 p.m. The Knight Family follows at 3:15 p.m., Melanie Walker performs at 4:15 p.m., Marla Jo Ham returns at 5:15 p.m., and Cody McCarver closes out the scheduled lineup at 6:15 p.m.
The event will be hosted by Lynn Fox and Melanie Walker. Fox is known for his work with the Fox Brothers and as host of Sunday Mornin’ Country. Walker is a Christian recording artist and host of Sunday Mornin’ Country.
But the music isn’t the only reason to make plans for the weekend.
Chapel Hill Recording Studio is presenting the gala as an opportunity for music lovers to come together while also supporting two organizations doing important work. Proceeds from the event will benefit Music City Christian Fellowship and The Next Step.

And whether you’re coming for one night or ready to make a full weekend of it, there are ticket options to fit the plan.
A two-day pass is $75, while one-day passes are $40. Groups of 10 or more can purchase two-day passes for $60 per person.
