BEDFORD — IT’S RACE TIME, BEDFORD!
The Limestone Capital Half Marathon, brought to you by McIntrye Brothers, weekend is almost here, and the excitement officially gets underway Friday, Oct. 2, with the race expo at the historic Depot in downtown Bedford.
From 4 to 6 p.m., participants are invited to come downtown, pick up their race-day essentials, and start getting into the spirit of race weekend.
And this isn’t just a quick stop to grab a bib.
The Limestone Capital Half Marathon Expo, brought to you by Bedford Federal Savings Bank, is the place to get your official race swag, meet fellow participants, check out the course, and make sure you’re ready to hit the starting line Saturday morning.
Participants can pick up their race bib, T-shirt, and swag bag while taking in everything the event has to offer, all while 105.5 WQRK keeps the party going with all of your classic favorite tunes. It’s also an opportunity to meet and greet other runners and walkers who are preparing for the big day.
For anyone who has been training for weeks or months, the expo is the moment when everything starts to feel real.

Participants will also have the opportunity to look over the course and get familiar with what awaits them Saturday. Whether you’re tackling the full 13.1 miles, running the 5K, or participating in the 1-mile walk, knowing where you’re headed can help build excitement before race morning.
And then there’s the fuel.

A variety of refreshments will be available to help participants fuel up for race day, including protein, fruit, low-carb options, and even a little something sweet for a well-earned reward.
