BEDFORD — A Bedford woman is facing criminal battery and property damage charges following an August altercation that left a vehicle damaged and a woman injured outside a residence on Ozee Farm Road.
The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department has requested an arrest warrant for Natasha Johns, 43, following an investigation led by Officer Ryan Paschall. Johns is accused of the following charges: criminal mischief and battery resulting in bodily injury

According to a probable cause affidavit filed by Officer Paschall, the incident unfolded on August 26, 2026, when Lawrence County Dispatch received a report from a male homeowner regarding an unwanted person at his residence on Ozee Farm Road. Multiple officers responded to the scene, where the male reported that another female was on his property despite being told to stay away.
Home security footage showed the woman seeking shelter from an ongoing storm by driving her black Audi into the male’s garage.
Upon arriving at the scene, law enforcement officers located the unwanted female and observed significant damage to her vehicle, including a shattered rear windshield and two flattened right-side tires. Officers also noted that the woman had visible marks and minor swelling on her face, along with a mark on her right arm.
The woman told officers she had been involved in a physical altercation with Johns, who is the male homeowner’s ex-wife. Motion-activated home security cameras captured portions of the fight taking place in the driveway and yard. Footage also showed a minor flattening the tires on the female’s vehicle via the valve stems.
The woman reported that Johns had used a baseball bat to smash the vehicle’s rear window. Jackson’s Heavy Haul was dispatched to tow the Audi from the scene, with the male homeowner offering to cover the towing bill and vehicle damages while requesting that the female victim be officially trespassed from his property.
On September 10, 2026, Officer Martin and Sgt. C. James conducted a formal interview with Johns and her legal counsel at the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department.
During the interview, Johns’ attorney noted that she was legally permitted to be at the Ozee Farm Road property. Johns admitted to smashing the rear windshield of the woman’s Audi with a baseball bat, stating she did not know where the unwanted female was at the time. Johns further stated that the other female approached from the house, initiating a verbal altercation that escalated into a physical fight, at which point Johns dropped the baseball bat.
Deputies noted in the court filing that the male homeowner did not request to file charges against the female for being on his property, asking only that she be issued a formal trespass warning from the address. Body camera and home security footage have been preserved as evidence in the case file.
