COLUMBUS — A Columbus native with decades of local leadership experience has been named the new executive director of the Southeast Indiana Chapter of the American Red Cross.
The non-profit organization announced that Laura Moses-Wadsworth has been chosen to helm the regional chapter, bringing a strong background in community service, non-profit management, and higher education.
Moses-Wadsworth’s extensive career in the local non-profit sector includes more than a decade serving as executive director of the Bartholomew County Historical Society, over 15 years with the Foundation for Youth, and dedicated leadership at The Arc of Bartholomew County. Most recently, she served as an adjunct instructor at the Ivy Tech Community College Columbus campus and Indiana University Columbus.
She holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from IU Columbus.
In her new role, Moses-Wadsworth will oversee the chapter’s core mission of providing emergency disaster relief, coordinating local blood donation services, and delivering key community support programs. The Southeast Indiana Chapter also provides critical support to members of the Armed Forces and their families, as well as leading emergency preparedness initiatives—including the organization’s Home Fire Campaign, which installs free smoke alarms and delivers home safety education to reduce fire-related injuries and fatalities.
