Radius Indiana launches regional Wages and Benefits Survey to help employers stay competitive

BEDFORD Radius Indiana has launched its biennial Wages and Benefits Survey, inviting employers across the region to participate in a comprehensive data-gathering initiative designed to deliver localized labor insights.

The survey allows area businesses to benchmark their compensation packages against regional peers, as well as broader state and national averages.

Radius Indiana serves as the regional economic development organization representing eight southern Indiana counties: Crawford, Daviess, Dubois, Greene, Lawrence, Martin, Orange, and Washington. The organization routinely coordinates regional strategy and economic retention efforts, working closely with major employers, local technology hubs, and defense assets surrounding Naval Support Activity Crane.

Economic development officials and corporate leaders emphasize that the survey offers a level of granular, localized insight that standard government reports cannot match.

Survey Format, Early Incentives, and Deadlines

To accommodate varying schedules and organizational capacities, Radius Indiana is offering two different survey formats this year:

  • Full Survey: A comprehensive, 60-question option that dives deep into wage figures alongside detailed benefit metrics, including health, vision, and dental insurance structures.
  • Shortened Survey: A streamlined version focusing primarily on core wage data for companies seeking a faster completion time.

Anne McCombe, Business Retention and Expansion Coordinator for Radius Indiana, highlighted that the full breakdown is especially critical for long-term talent strategy: “That can be very valuable for these businesses as they’re trying to figure out how to recruit and retain employees.”

Key Dates & Details:

  • Early Incentive Window: Employers who complete either version of the survey by September 22 will be entered into a drawing for a $50 Amazon gift card.
  • Final Submission Deadline: The survey window will remain open for approximately one month, officially closing on October 6.
  • Accessing the Survey: Participating businesses can access both the full and shortened survey options through Radius Indiana’s online employer portal.

All participating employers who complete the submission will receive the finalized, comprehensive regional reporting analysis once the data is compiled.
