According to notifications released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the safety alerts span multiple major automakers—including Ford, Chrysler (FCA US), and Toyota—and address defects ranging from software glitches and structural defects to fire risks and brake system failures.
Automotive and Light Truck Recalls
- Ford Motor Company issued four separate recall notices covering its popular light-truck and commercial lines. Affected models include 2023–2027 Ford F-150 pickup trucks (potential fuel tank leaks or detachment risk; Recall #26V578), 2026 Ford F-150 models (loss of drive power due to incorrect rear axle tail bearings; Recall #26V576, alongside a separate recall for loose rear suspension stabilizer rods; Recall #26V577), and 2026–2027 Ford Transit vans (wireless seatbelt reminder malfunctions; Recall #26V579).
- Chrysler / Jeep (FCA US, LLC): Recalled a wide selection of SUV models due to potential tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) failures that fail to comply with federal safety standards (Recall #26V559). Affected vehicles include 2024–2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee, Grand Cherokee 4xe, Grand Cherokee L, Grand Wagoneer, and Wagoneer, as well as 2025–2026 Grand Wagoneer L, Grand Wagoneer L PHEV, Wagoneer L, and 2026 Jeep Cherokee models.
- Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing issued two safety alerts. The first covers 2026 Toyota C-HR vehicles facing a potential loss of drive power caused by a software programming error (Recall #26V570). The second addresses incorrect load-carrying capacity labels on 2026 Toyota 4Runner, 4Runner i-Force Max Hybrid, RAV4 Hybrid, 2024 Tacoma Hybrid, and 2025 Tundra / Tundra Hybrid models (Recall #26V571).
RV, Commercial, and Specialty Vehicle Recalls
- Daimler Trucks North America: Recalled 2020–2023 Freightliner Cascadia and 2022 Western Star 49X commercial trucks due to modulator valve corrosion that could cause severe brake pulling (Recall #26V583).
- Nova Bus (US) Inc. issued a recall for 2022–2024 LFS and 2023–2024 LFS Artic transit buses due to a defective coolant sensor that may trigger unexpected engine shutdowns (Recall #26V573).

- Ring Power Corporation issued a recall for 2019–2026 Terex C4000, C5000, C6000, and General 65 utility units due to a cracked weld that could cause the pole guide arm to fall (Recall #26V534).
