INDIANA – The Girl Scouts of the USA announced two additions to their upcoming cookie lineup: an allergy-friendly option for humans and the organization’s first official treat for dogs.
“There’s no party like a Girl Scout Cookie party, and this year is sure to be the best on record. Two exciting new cookies … mean more humans and hounds can join in the fun than ever,” the organization said in an announcement.
The first one is a cookie designed for people with food allergies. Sparkables was developed with the cookie company Partake in a facility designed to avoid the nine major food allergens.
It’s a crunchy oatmeal cookie featuring chocolate chips and colorful sprinkles.

The second new cookie is not for people at all, but for dogs.
Patch Pals are soft-baked, blueberry-muffin-flavored dog cookies that come in four designs inspired by the Girl Scout patches for “Girl Scout,” “Community,” “Exploration,” and “Play.”
Both products are scheduled to go on sale starting in January online and through local troop order periods.
