NEW ALBANY – New Albany conquered Bedford North Lawrence 6-0 during boys high school soccer action on Thursday night.
Ethan Prichard scored twice for the Bulldogs (3-3 overall, 1-0 in the Hoosier Hills Conference). BNL slipped to 2-5 overall (0-2 in the HHC) with its fifth straight setback.
New Albany, which led 5-0 at the half, added goals by Angel Flores, Kyan Dickerson and Will Spurgeon. The final tally was an own goal.
“We ended with seven of our starters injured out by the time we got to half,” BNL coach Reeve Arce said “We had six freshmen and two sophomores playing by the end of the half.
“The team recovered and adjusted well, still playing deep into the young bench. The team recovered well and our young group did well in the second half.”
The Stars will host Silver Creek on Saturday.
