BEDFORD — Families in the Lawrence County community are invited to gather for an evening of food, games, learning, and family fun during the upcoming Family Dinner Project on Thursday, October 8.
The event is being offered through a partnership between North Lawrence Community Schools (NLCS), Purdue Extension-Lawrence County, and the Juvenile Detention Alternatives Initiative (JDAI). The goal is to give families an opportunity to spend quality time together while learning more about healthy eating habits and the importance of family meals.
The event will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the Bedford North Lawrence High School cafeteria, with families asked to enter through Door 7.
The evening will include a free meal catered by Chartwells and NLCC culinary students. Chicken taco bowls and a variety of sides will be served.
In addition to dinner, families can participate in games and activities, connect with one another, and have the opportunity to win prizes. The event is designed for families with children of all ages, and organizers encourage everyone to come hungry and ready to have fun.
