INDIANA – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) has released its next project to be delivered using the Progressive Design-Build (PDB) delivery method.
The I-70 Mainline at Plainfield Project will include pavement reconstruction, bridge rehabilitation, culverts, and drainage features on I-70 from State Road 39 through the State Road 267 interchange.
INDOT has posted the Draft Request for Proposals (RFP) and Draft Progressive Design Build Agreement (PDBA) and plans to issue the Final RFP in October of 2026.
Progressive Design-Build is a delivery method in which design and construction are delivered under a single, two-phase agreement with the Department. The two-phase agreement consists of a Preconstruction Phase and a Construction Phase. A qualifications-based selection process will be used to award the PDB contract. Selection will be based on INDOT’s evaluation of proposals and interviews.
