Obituary: Estella Marie Mezie

September 23, 1941 – August 25, 2026

Estella Marie (Troupe) Mezie lost her earthly battle with health on August 25, 2026, and because of her faith in God, she has received her eternal reward in heaven.

She was surrounded by family and friends and was sung into heaven by her great-grandson
Jaxson Osterhage and our dear family friend Ashle Stalder sang “God Does” by Red Clay Strays, and God did. He took away her pain and took her to her eternal home.

Estella was a great giver of herself. She loved being a housewife and blessed many with her baked goods and contagious laugh.

Stell married Lou Mezie on October 22, 1960, and became a loyal Navy wife and mother, giving life to three wonderful children, Suzan Lynn Kintz, Michael Todd Mezie of Florida, and Wendi Sue (Kevin) Mullis of Bedford. Along with nine grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her two sisters, Mary Jane (Steve) Robertson of New Jersey, and Barbara Jean Troupe of Florida.

She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter Suzan Lynn Kintz, and brother-in-law Jack Watterson.

A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Estella’s memory to the Navy Veteran Service Office of Bedford or Free Methodist Church S.A.L.T. Ministry.
