CROWN POINT – The Northwest Indiana Mason Contractors Association (NWIMCA) is giving back to the Northwest Indiana community with an $850 donation to The Salvation Army to support disaster relief efforts in the region. The funds were raised through the association’s annual golf outing, held Aug. 20 at White Hawk Country Club in Crown Point.
The annual event brought together members of the masonry and construction industries for a day of golf, networking, and fellowship. Part of the proceeds from the outing will help The Salvation Army provide assistance to individuals and families impacted by the derecho that moved through the area on Aug. 11, causing widespread damage, flooding, and power outages.
“NWIMCA is proud to turn the success of our annual golf outing into an opportunity to support our neighbors when they need it most,” said Jeff Colvin, President of NWIMCA. ”We appreciate everyone who participated, sponsored, and helped make this donation possible.”
The annual outing features a full day of golf, food, contests, raffles and networking among industry professionals while supporting the association’s ongoing efforts to promote and advance the masonry industry.
The donation reflects NWIMCA’s commitment to being an active and engaged member of the Northwest Indiana community.
