Red Cross and Hello Kitty® partner to support lifesaving blood supply through September

INDIANA The American Red Cross is urging community members to step up and schedule an appointment to give blood or platelets heading into the fall season. While generous summer donors have helped the national blood supply begin to recover from critically low levels, inventory remains vulnerable due to upcoming back-to-school disruptions and potential Atlantic hurricane activity.

To encourage donations, the Red Cross has teamed up with Sanrio’s Hello Kitty® and Friends to reward donors during the first three weeks of September. Anyone who comes out to donate blood or platelets between September 1 and September 20 will receive an exclusive Red Cross × Hello Kitty plush mascot clip and a surprise sticker pack (while supplies last).
