INDIANA – As fans prepare to return to packed stadiums for the upcoming football season, a new comprehensive study has revealed which NFL venues deliver the best game-day experience—with Indianapolis’ own Lucas Oil Stadium earning a spot near the top.

The study, conducted by sports analytics firm APWin analyzed tens of thousands of fan reviews across Google and TripAdvisor to rank all qualifying NFL venues. Rather than relying on simple averages, the study applied a weighted score based on total review volume to ensure high-volume stadiums were accurately represented.
Top-Rated Stadiums
Green Bay’s historic Lambeau Field captured the number one spot nationwide with a weighted score of 4.84 out of 5. Lambeau dominated the field with 88.6% of its TripAdvisor reviews awarding a full five stars—more than 13 percentage points higher than any other top-10 contender.
Lucas Oil Stadium, home of the Indianapolis Colts, ranked fifth overall with a weighted score of 4.68. The venue earned high marks across both platforms, holding a 4.69 rating on Google and a 4.61 on TripAdvisor, where 72.5% of reviewers awarded it five stars.
Top 10 NFL Venues According to Fans:
- Lambeau Field (Green Bay Packers) – 4.84 weighted score

- AT&T Stadium (Dallas Cowboys) – 4.70 weighted score

The Lowest-Rated Venues
At the opposite end of the spectrum, Northwest Stadium, home of the Washington Commanders, ranked last among qualifying venues with a 3.97 weighted score. It stood out as the only stadium with a Google rating near four stars (4.01), while only 24.1% of its TripAdvisor reviewers gave it a five-star mark.
The study also highlighted sharp split opinions depending on the review platform. Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium, home to the Rams and Chargers, held a strong 4.56 rating on Google across nearly 22,000 reviews, but plummeted to a 3.14 rating on TripAdvisor—one of the largest platform discrepancies in the study.

According to APWin Manager Amauri Barbosa, the results show that fan satisfaction relies on much more than modern architecture.
“A shiny new building can obviously add to the experience, but fans are judging everything from atmosphere and views to staff, food, access, and the overall game-day experience,” Barbosa noted.
