The 20-minute video, titled “I Got Hunted By 100 Real Cops,” hit the platform over the weekend and rapidly racked up over 24 million views in less than 48 hours. The high-production challenge pitted global internet sensation Jimmy Donaldson (MrBeast)—who boasts more than 514 million subscribers—and four of his crew members against a formidable task force of Hoosier troopers.

The rules of the 12-hour challenge were straightforward: if the team of five “suspects” managed to evade capture until time expired, they would walk away with $500,000. However, if state troopers tracked down and apprehended all five individuals before the clock ran out, the participating officers would claim the $500,000 prize.

To track the group, law enforcement deployed specialized units showcasing the agency’s full range of tactical capabilities, including:

  • K-9 Units: Specialized tracking dogs deployed to trail scent paths through dense terrain.
  • Emergency Response Teams (ERT): Tactical personnel utilized for coordinated perimeter control and extraction maneuvers.
  • AERIAL & GROUND ASSETS: Standard highway patrol cruisers alongside tactical tracking assets to seal off escape routes.

Ultimately, state troopers successfully located and captured all five participants before the 12-hour window elapsed, securing the victory and claiming the $500,000 prize pool.

Following the release of the video, state law enforcement officials addressed the logistics of allowing active officers and department equipment to feature in a commercial entertainment production.

The Indiana State Police confirmed via social media that all 100 participating troopers worked strictly in an off-duty capacity. Additionally, the production company fully compensated the state for all agency equipment, vehicles, and operational resources utilized during the filming.

“We had a lot of fun being part of this production and showing a different side of the Indiana State Police,” the department shared in an official statement. “From K-9 and emergency response to the everyday work our troopers do across Indiana, there is a lot more to being a Trooper than what you see on the side of the road.”
