INDIANA — Indiana employers now have the green light to compete for one of the state’s top workplace honors. The Indiana Chamber of Commerce has opened nominations for its annual Best Places to Work in Indiana program.
With a “Victory Lane” racing theme, this year’s competition invites companies to highlight the culture, benefits and employee experience that set them apart.
The awards program – now in its 22nd year – honors top organizations in the state as determined through employer reports and comprehensive employee surveys. Company evaluations and the selection process are administered by Workforce Research Group. To take part, a company must have a location in the state and employ a minimum of 15 U.S. employees.
“Strong workplaces are a cornerstone of strong communities,” says Indiana Chamber President and CEO Vanessa Green Sinders. “When employers invest in their people, the benefits extend far beyond the workplace. They help attract and retain talent, strengthen local engagement and contribute to the amenities and opportunities that make Indiana communities great places to live, work and visit.”
Sinders adds, “The companies recognized through the Best Places to Work in Indiana program are setting the pace for workplace excellence. They are finding innovative ways to support employees, strengthen culture, and make a meaningful difference in their communities. Their example offers a model for employers across the state.”
Participating employers complete a questionnaire, and employees provide confidential feedback through an engagement and satisfaction survey. All companies that apply will receive a thorough report analyzing strengths and opportunities for improvement in their workplace culture.
Winners are chosen in five groups: small companies of between 15 and 34 U.S. employees; small-medium companies of between 35 and 74 U.S. employees; medium companies of between 75 and 249 U.S. employees; large companies of between 250 and 999 U.S. employees; and major companies with 1,000 or more U.S. employees.
