New coffee shop, Hoosier Bloom Coffee & Pastry, now open in Bedford

BEDFORD — A new locally owned coffee and pastry shop has opened its doors in Bedford, giving locals a new place to grab a cup of coffee, enjoy a sweet treat or simply slow down and spend time with friends and family.

Hoosier Bloom Coffee & Pastry, located at 2629 16th St, Bedford, is owned by Bedford residents Maddie Hettle and her fiancé, Zane Bobbs, who say the business is a dream come true for their family.

As a family of four rooted in Bedford, the couple hopes to create more than just a place to grab coffee. They envision Hoosier Bloom as a welcoming community gathering spot where customers can enjoy fresh food and drinks in a comfortable, inviting atmosphere.

The coffee shop and restaurant offers fresh coffee, handcrafted drinks, sweet pastries and light lunches, along with clean and healthy options.

Maddie said the concept is inspired by the family’s love for Hoosier tradition and charm, with the goal of creating a space that feels joyful, welcoming and full of love.

“We’ve poured our hearts into creating a place where our community can gather and enjoy delicious treats alongside clean, healthy options,” Maddie said.

The owners say they are grateful for the opportunity to bring their dream to life in their hometown.

Hoosier Bloom Coffee & Pastry offers another locally owned option for coffee, pastries and light meals while providing a place to relax, connect and enjoy a little time away from the daily routine.

The coffee shop and restaurant are open Wednesday through Monday. Wednesday through Saturday, they are open from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Sunday, from 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.; and Monday, from 6 a.m. to noon.
