BEDFORD — The Lawrence County 4-H Council will host its second annual Emeralds & Clovers Gala on Saturday, Oct. 3, at the Lawrence County 4-H Fairgrounds Expo Hall.
This year’s event will feature the theme “Derby Nights — Run for the Clovers.” The gala will celebrate the impact of 4-H in Lawrence County while raising funds to support scholarships, educational opportunities and youth development programs.
The event will begin with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. at the Expo Hall, located at 11265 U.S. Highway 50 West in Bedford. Photos will be available at the event backdrop from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., and a cash bar will open at 6 p.m.
Dinner will be provided by Holt’s Cafe, with entertainment from the band 100 Proof. The gala is scheduled to conclude at 11 p.m.
Tickets are presale only, with a deadline of Sept. 23. Guests may purchase individual tickets or an entire table.
The Lawrence County 4-H Council is also seeking sponsors for the gala. Sponsors will be prominently featured on event banners and promotional materials, with their support directly benefiting young people in Lawrence County.

Silent auction donations are also being accepted. Items may be dropped off at the Purdue Extension — Lawrence County Office, 924 16th St., Bedford, IN 47421, with donations directed to the Gala Committee.
The council says 100% of the silent auction proceeds will benefit Lawrence County 4-H, including scholarships for outstanding 4-H members, educational trips, awards and recognition for achievements in leadership, project work and community service, and youth development programs.
The gala is designed to celebrate the accomplishments of Lawrence County 4-H members while helping provide opportunities for the next generation. The council said the event will help support programs that expand learning beyond the classroom and encourage leadership and community involvement.
