MITCHELL — Local businesses have an opportunity to get involved with one of Mitchell’s biggest annual celebrations as preparations continue for the 79th Annual Persimmon Festival.
The Mitchell Chamber of Commerce is encouraging businesses to consider becoming festival sponsors as the Sept. 19, 21-26 celebration approaches.
The festival is expected to bring food, live entertainment, hometown traditions and a variety of activities to downtown Mitchell throughout the week.
For local businesses, sponsorship offers an opportunity to support an event that has become a major part of Mitchell’s identity while getting their name in front of residents and visitors.
The Chamber says sponsorship opportunities are available at multiple levels, giving businesses of different sizes an opportunity to participate.
Sponsorship Levels:
- Rooted in Tradition Sponsorship ($25 – $99)
- Name listed on Persimmon Festival Website
- Branching Out Sponsorship ($100 – $249)
- Name listed on Persimmon Festival Website
- Social Media Acknowledgement
- Persimmon Grove Sponsorship ($250 – $499)
- Social Media Acknowledgment with Logo
- Name announced at select festival events
- Festival Spirit Sponsorship ($500 – $999)
- Social Media acknowledgment with logo and dedicated post
- Name announced at festival events
- Option to sponsor an event with signage recognition
- Persimmon Legacy Sponsorship ($1,000 or more)
- Social media acknowledgement with logo and featured post
- Business/lndividual announced at multiple festival events during week
- Option to sponsor a festival event or attraction with signage recognition
The Persimmon Festival has been a Mitchell tradition since 1947 and continues to bring together residents, former residents and visitors from throughout the region. The 2026 festival is scheduled for Sept. 19. 21-26.
