BEDFORD — North Lawrence Community Schools (NLCS) has released updated meal program details, pricing structures, and schedule guidelines for the 2026–2027 school year. The initiative operates under the National School Lunch Program and the School Breakfast Program to deliver nutritious, convenient meal options designed to support student health and academic achievement.
The Academic Impact of Morning Nutrition
District officials emphasize that starting the day with a balanced meal plays a crucial role in student success. According to food service guidelines, children who eat a healthy breakfast demonstrate improved energy levels, higher focus, better overall academic performance, and fewer absences. The school breakfast program also serves as a practical, time-saving resource for busy families managing morning routines.
