OOLITIC — Drivers in Oolitic should prepare for upcoming travel disruptions along Main Street beginning Thursday morning.
Town officials announced that Main Street will be closed to through traffic between 103 Main Street East and Lafayette Avenue starting at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 13, through 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 18.
To help ease traffic flow during non-peak hours, the eastbound lane of Main Street will reopen to traffic after 7:00 p.m. each evening throughout the closure period.
Local services and government offices will remain accessible during construction. Officials confirmed that both the Oolitic Post Office and Oolitic Town Hall will operate normally and will not be impacted by the road closure.
Motorists traveling through the area are advised to seek alternate routes, plan for minor delays during daytime hours, and exercise caution when driving near work sites and road crews.
