BEDFORD — Lawrence County is launching a creative new educational initiative for young students across the community, offering local organizations and businesses a unique opportunity to get involved.
The county is currently creating a FREE coloring book designed specifically for kindergarten through fifth-grade (K–5) students. To help highlight the local community, organizers are inviting area businesses, nonprofits, and community groups to sponsor pages and showcase their organizations inside the book.

The coloring book project is designed to engage elementary students while introducing them to local businesses, community organizations, and public services that make up Lawrence County.
For area businesses, participating in the project offers a direct, family-friendly marketing platform that reaches thousands of local children and parents across the county. Participating organizations will have their logos, services, or customized community-focused artwork featured on dedicated pages.
How Local Businesses Can Join
Local business owners and organization leaders interested in sponsoring a page or reserving space in the upcoming coloring book can participate by submitting an official order form.
- Online Submission: Interested businesses can fill out the participation form through the county’s official project portal by clicking here.
- Direct Contact: For order forms, pricing, and submission details, contact coordinator Allen Mitchell via email at allen@colormytown.com.
With production underway, organizers encourage interested businesses to submit their orders early to guarantee space in the final printing distributed to area elementary schools.
