Obituary: Ginger Lee Watts

October 17, 1969 – July 28, 2026

Ginger Lee (Davis) Watts, 56, of Shoals, passed away on Tuesday morning, July 28, 2026, at Jasper Deaconess Memorial Hospital.

Born October 17, 1969, in Bangor, Maine, she was the daughter of Ernest W. Davis III and Margaret “Peggy” (Herbest) Davis, of Bangor, Maine, local residents of Shoals, Indiana. Ginger lived a life of love for her family, children, grandchildren, friends, and dog, Dusty. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and decorating for all the holidays. She worked at Velma’s Diner for many years. Ginger married Daniel Watts on May 15, 1990; and he survives.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her parents, Ernest and Peggy Davis; husband, Daniel Watts; three children, Joseph Davis, of Shoals, Brittany Davis, of Shoals, and adopted daughter Samantha Hattabaugh, of Mitchell; thirteen grandchildren, Kamryn and Kamdyn Shaw, Alyson, Alexander, and Jersey Davis, Lucas, Conner, Dean, and Annabelle Boyd, Nathaniel and Wyatt Davis, and Jaxson and Cheyenne Triplett; brother, Ernie (Misty) Davis; sister, Belinda McDonnell; nieces, Hunter and Hayley Davis and Promise McDonnell; and nephews, Issac and Andrew Davis, and Jordan McDonnell.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents; grandson, Bryar Laws; brother, Brighton Davis; brother- in-law, Rick McDonnell; niece, Hannah Davis; uncle, Mike Herbest; and her fur baby, Dusty.

Cremation was chosen, per Ginger’s request, and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
